Two NMU Student-Athletes To Attend NCAA Conference
MARQUETTE, Mich. – Two Northern Michigan University student-athletes have been selected to attend the NCAA Student-Athlete Development Conference which will take place May 24-27 in Orlando, Fla. at the Walt Disney World Coronado Spring Resort. Ingrid Fjeldheim from the women’s Nordic ski team and Dustin Brancheau a member of the football team will represent NMU at the conference.
The NCAA National Student-Athlete Development Conference provides NCAA student-athletes with a forum to openly discuss issues which affect them on their campuses and in their communities. It also provides the student-athletes with the opportunity to enhance their leadership, communication, decision-making and problem-solving skills. The conference will provide ideas and skills to promote better communication among student-athletes, coaches, administrators, faculty and communities.
