BAY CITY, Mich. – Junior guard Marc Renelique (Montreal, Quebec) of the Northern Michigan University men’s basketball team has been named this week’s Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) North Division Player of the Week for his performance last week against Tiffin and Ashland.
Renelique averaged 25 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists in helping the Wildcats post a 1-1 record in GLIAC play last week. He led NMU to a 92-70 win over Tiffin on Thursday (Jan. 8) by recording a game-high 18 points along with five rebounds and two assists. In Saturday’s (Jan. 10) 84-76 setback to Ashland, he poured in a career-high 32 points, going 12-25 from the floor, while grabbing six rebounds.
Renelique currently ranks sixth in the GLIAC in scoring at 16.9 points per game.
