Tuesday (Dec. 30) it is the women’s (5-4, 1-4 GLIAC) turn to hit the hardwood against the Bulldogs of Minnesota-Duluth at 5:30 p.m. in a non-conference clash. NMU defeated UM-Duluth the first game of the season in Duluth (63-60). Saturday the women will also face the Huskies at 1 p.m. MTU downed NMU in Houghton a couple of weeks ago (74-43).
The NMU hockey team (3-12-3, 2-9-3-2 CCHA) begins 2009 with a non-conference series at Madison, Wis. against the Wisconsin Badgers on Friday and Saturday (Jan. 2-3). Face off is at 8:07 p.m. both nights.  The ‘Cats are looking to get back in the win column as the team is winless in its past seven games (0-5-2).
