FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – Devan Hartigan has been named this week’s Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) Rookie of the Week. Against Lake Superior State over the weekend he blocked 56-of-59 shots for a save-percentage of .949. The Wildcats ended the games tied each night (1-1, 2-2), but won the shootouts. The Boise, Idaho native stopped four of the five Lakers he faced in the shootout.
Friday night, Hartigan turned away a career-high 29 shots as he picked up third star of the game honors. He came back on Saturday night with 27 saves. Currently for the season, Hartigan is 1-3-2 with a 2.48 goal-against average and a .903 save-percentage.
