Teddy Bear Toss At NMU Hockey Game
MARQUETTE, Mich. – The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee at Northern Michigan University will host its annual Teddy Bear Toss Saturday, Dec. 13 during the first intermission of the NMU-USNTDP hockey game, the puck will drop at 7:35 p.m. Fans are encouraged to bring a teddy bear to the game to toss onto the ice. All teddy bears will be collected by members of SAAC and donated to Toys for Tots.
The mission of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.
