'Cats Run In Minneapolis

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The Northern Michigan University women’s cross country team competed at the Roy Griak Cross Country Invitational which was held at the University of Minnesota Saturday morning. NMU tallied 335 points which placed the team 12th in the Division II category. Augustana won the division with 54 points. 
A total of seven runners ran for the Wildcats with only the top five scoring points. The two freshmen runners led the ‘Cats once again. Nora Kiilunen placed 37th (24:13) while teammate and fellow freshman Rebecca Holmquist was 52nd (24:28). Maegan Hendershot was 75th (24:57) as teammate Christina Gillis was next in 76th (25:01). The final ‘Cat to score team points was Erin McCulloch in 95th (25:20). 
Two other runners ran for the ‘Cats, but did not score. Stephanie Enderby was 98th (25:28 and Anna Berglund was 99th (25:28).
NMU will run next at the U.P. Championships which will be held on campus on Friday, Oct. 10.
