ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – The first day of action at the Flyer Festival at Lewis University saw the Northern Michigan University volleyball team take all three of its matches. NMU defeated UW-Parkside 3-2 (22-25, 21-25, 25-22, 25-16, 15-7), Winona State 3-1 (24-26, 25-21, 26-24, 25-20) and St. Joseph’s 3-0 (25-18, 25-14, 25-18). The Wildcats improve to 5-2 on the season. 
Stats were only available for the UW-Parkside match. Katt Garvick led the ‘Cats with 16 kills. Mandie Meyer and Emma Wolfe added 14 and 13 kills respectively. Madeline Ogden had 53 of the ‘Cats 58 assists for the match. Cassie Osiecki had a match-high 20 kills on the defensive front. Breanne Zaremba added 13 digs. Meyer and Garvick each had three block assists.
Tomorrow NMU will face Indianapolis and Nova Southeastern in second day action at the Flyer Festival.
