Free gift with purchase of license plate in Aug.
MARQUETTE—United States Olympic Education Center athletes met with Michigan Secretary of State Terry Lynn Land Aug. 12 in Marquette to announce a special Olympic license plate promotion. In celebration of the Summer Games in Beijing, everyone who purchases an Olympic license plate in August will receive a free gift from the USOEC. Gifts include Olympic blankets, tote bags, photo books, posters and more.
The Olympic license plates cost $35 for the initial purchase and only $10 for each annual renewal. The USOEC receives $25 from the initial purchase price and the entire renewal amount to support USOEC student athletes. These amounts are considered tax-deductable contributions to NMU.
To redeem your gift, simply bring your Olympic license plate registration to either the USOEC or the Marquette Mining Journal office. The number of gifts is limited and will be available only while supplies last.
