MARQUETTE, Mich. – Northern Michigan University athletic tickets are now available at the NMU Ticket Office in the Superior Dome. New options being offered this season are family ticket packages, “free” Dome walking passes for season ticket holders and senior discount rates on single game tickets.
Current season ticket holders renewal information will be sent the week of July 14 for the 2008-09 season. Season tickets may be purchased for all sports now. Season tickets are available for basketball ($90 combined men’s and women’s), football ($35), hockey ($209 for all games, $99 for Friday only and $110 for Saturday only) and volleyball ($50). Student prices for fans 18 and under are also available.
The hockey season ticket renewal deadline is Friday, Sept. 5. Single game tickets are now on sale for basketball, football and volleyball. Hockey single game tickets go on sale Monday, Sept. 22.
Group tickets are available for men’s and women’s basketball, football, hockey and volleyball. Groups of 15 or more receive discounted ticket prices; block seating, group recognition at the game and other activities as designed for your group. This is perfect for youth groups, employees, family or friends for special occasions with the Wildcats. Group tickets prices range from $3 to $9. Hockey has selected games in which group tickets will not be available.
New this season are family packages with discounted pricing for all ticketed events including hockey. Family packs are designed for two adults and up to three children. This offers the NMU family “fans” an affordable entertainment option.
Also new this season is a “free” year long Dome walking pass to be included with the purchase of a season hockey ticket package. A semester walking pass will be given with the purchase of a basketball, football or volleyball season ticket.
Seniors, 60 and older, will now receive an added discount benefit of $2 off the regular price of a single game ticket for all sporting events.
“With the economy the way it is, we have kept ticket prices the same as last year. We are also offering some new options which we hope are attractive to Wildcat fans to offer them an affordable entertainment option,” said Ken Godfrey, NMU athletic director. “The Dome walking pass with the purchase of a season ticket should be popular and beneficial to fans also.”
Fans with questions about tickets and/or to purchase tickets should contact the NMU Ticket Office in the Superior Dome at 906-227-1032. Ticket office hours during the summer are 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday.
