Leslie Luehmann Finishes 11th At Nationals In Heptathlon

WALNUT, Calif. – Leslie Luehmann with 4,406 points finished in 11th place in the heptathlon at the 2008 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Entering the second day of the event she was in eighth place. Linda Rainwater from UC-San Diego won the event with 5,052 points.
Luehmann was second in the first event of the day which was the long jump. She had a leap of 17-10.25 for 683 points. In the javelin, Luehmann had a throw of 72-08 which put 329 points in her column. The final event of the heptathlon, the 800 run, Luehmann ran a 2:34.07 which was good for 643 points.
