MARQUETTE, Mich. – The second triple-header of the season at the Berry Events Center will be on Saturday (Feb. 23). The women’s basketball team (9-15, 4-12 GLIAC) will begin the action at 11 a.m., the men’s basketball team (7-18, 6-10 GLIAC) will be next at approximately 1 p.m. and then the finale will be the hockey game at 7:35 p.m.
Both basketballs are at Michigan Tech on Wednesday (Feb. 20). The women’s game is set for 5:30 p.m. while the men will hit the hardwood around 7:30 p.m. On Saturday (Feb. 23), Lake Superior State will be the opponent for the women and men. It will be Senior Day and the final set of trading cards will be given out before each game.
Friday (Feb.22) there will be a Blue Line Club Luncheon at Upfront and Company at 12 p.m. (noon) to preview the weekend series against the Nebraska-Omaha Mavericks. The event is open to the public and the cost is $8.50. NMU head coach Walt Kyle and UNO’s Mike Kemp are schedule to speak along with the Wildcat seniors.
The ‘Cats (13-16-3, 10-12-2 CCHA) host UNO in a weekend series (Feb. 22-23) with the puck being dropped both nights at 7:35 p.m. There will be a Blue Line Club/Wildcat Club reception in the Wildcat Room on Friday beginning before the game until the second intermission. Saturday (Feb. 23) the second game of the series between the ‘Cats and the Mavericks is on the schedule. It will be Senior Night for the ‘Cats and the final set of trading cards will be given out.
