UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – The Northern Michigan University women’s indoor track and field team was scheduled to compete at the Saginaw Valley State University Indoor Collegiate Open on Friday (Jan.18), but because of the weather the Wildcats did not travel as a team. One member of the squad, Leslie Luehmann, did participate in the competition in the long jump, triple jump and the 60-meter hurdles. She placed third in the long jump (17-02.25) and third in the triple jump (34-07.50). In the hurdles she ran a 9.48 in the prelims and placed seventh in the finals (10.10).
The ‘Cats are back in action on Saturday (Jan. 26) at the Lake Superior State University Invitational.
