Jaclyn Davey Signs To Join NMU Women's Basketball Team

MARQUETTE, Mich. – Troy Mattson, the head women’s basketball coach at Northern Michigan University, announces another addition to his recruiting class. Jaclyn Davey from Sterling, Ill. and Sauk Valley Community College has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the NMU women’s basketball program beginning in the fall. She joins Lauren Beeler and Brynn Larsen who signed earlier.

Davey a 6-1, forward-center is currently in her second season at Sauk Valley Community College.   She will be a junior when she joins the squad next season.

“Jaclyn is a very long athletic post player. She specializes in defense with shot blocking and rebounding as her strengths,” said Mattson. “She runs the floor extremely well and fits into the type of athlete we are trying to recruit here. We look forward to her adding depth to our front line in the next two seasons.”
