GREEN BAY, Wis. – The Northern Michigan University women’s basketball team played the UW-Green Bay Phoenix in an exhibition game on Saturday (Nov. 3). The Wildcats lost to the Phoenix by a score of 71-45.
Kelsey Deacon led all scorers with 18 points. On the boards, Allison Carroll had a game-high nine rebounds.   NMU shot 30 percent from the floor for the game (15-50). From the three-point line the ‘Cats were 11-23 for 47.8 percent. NMU made 10 trips to the free throw line and made four throws (40 percent).
The ‘Cats will play for real the weekend of Nov. 16-17 at the Concordia-St. Paul Tournament. NMU will face Augustana on Friday, Nov. 16.
