BAY CITY, Mich. – For the second week in a row a Northern Michigan University football player has been honored by the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC). Mark Bossuah was named this week’s GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week. The sophomore from Grand Rapids, Mich. led the Wildcats to a 45-31 victory over Mercyhurst at the Superior Dome on Saturday. Bossuah carried the ball 31 times for 220 yards and four touchdowns in the victory. The four scores was a career-high and set a new Superior Dome record for touchdowns in a game.
Bossuah currently leads the GLIAC in rushing, averaging 134.8 yards per game. He also went over a 1,000 yards rushing for the season on Saturday. Bossuah is the first NMU player since 2001 to rush for over a 1,000 yards in a season.
