Cross Country Team Fifth At GLIAC Championships

ERIE, Pa. – The Northern Michigan University women’s cross country team finished in fifth place at the 2007 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Cross Country Championships. The Wildcats scored 165 team points as Grand Valley State took team honors with 20 points.
 
Bibiane Mahy was the top placing runner for NMU as she placed 17th with a time of 23:30.84. Michelle Bisig was next as she was 27th (23:57.97). The next three runners scoring points for the ‘Cats were Jennifer Wiedmeyer in 40th (24:28.75), Erin VanEnkevort 47th (24:38.67) and Maria Grossi 54th (24:46.46). Also running but not scoring team points were Brittney Coehoorn who finished in 55th place (24:46.56) and Christina Gillis in 60th (25:04.39).
 
The runners will have some time off before competing at the NCAA II Great Lakes Regional Championships on Nov. 3.
