KENOSHA, Wis. – The Northern Michigan University women’s cross country team finished in sixth place at the Midwest Collegiate Cross Country Invitational on Saturday at UW-Parkside. NMU tallied 161 points with NCAA I Marquette University winning the event with 42 points. Second was UW-Parkside (74), followed by Azusa Pacific (95), Wayne State (117) and Edinboro University (148).
Bibiane Mahy led the ‘Cats with a time of 18:56 which was good for 21st place. Other NMU runners scoring points included Jenny Wiedmeyer in 27th (19:07), Kristen Schultz 34th (19:19), Michele Bisig 37th (19:22) and Danielle Stein 42nd (19:33).
NMU will run again at the Roy Griak Invitational at the University of Minnesota on Saturday, Sept. 29.
