BOULDER, Colo. – Lindsey Weier has been named the College Skier of the Year by Ski Racing magazine. She captured the 15K classic race at the NCAA Championships and was third in the 5K freestyle. The Wildcats took the top three places in both events.
The sweeps by the Wildcats were a first in NCAA history in which a trio from the same school has taken back-to-back events. Lindsay Williams was second in the 15K while Morgan Smyth was third. In the 5K, Williams won the event with Smyth second.
Weier is a two-time Olympian and participated at the World Championships in Sapporo, Japan earlier in the year.
