UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – The Northern Michigan University women’s indoor track and field team placed seventh at the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Indoor Track and Field Championship. NMU scored 26.50 points as Grand Valley State won the women’s title with 203.50 points.
In Saturday’s action, Stephanie Boyer was eighth in the 200-meter dash as she covered the distance in 26.29. Brooke Rediger was sixth in the mile with a time of 5:08.36 and eighth in the 3,000 (10:32.05). Also sixth was Stephanie Ostrenga (2:20.20) in the 800.
The 4x400 relay of Boyer, Ostrenga, Maegan Hendershot and Kaylee Laakso placed sixth in the event with a time of 4:08.61.
In the field events, Kristin Carnel tied for seventh in the high jump with a leap of 5-01.25. Karin Diebold tied for eighth in the pole vault (9-09.00).
Two ‘Cats scored points in the triple jump as St. Onge was fifth (34-11.75) and Leslie Luehmann sixth (34-07.75).
