BAY CITY, Mich. – For the fourth time this season, Ricky Volcy has been named as the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) North Division Player of the Week. He led Northern Michigan University to a GLIAC road split last week as the Wildcats defeated Lake Superior State (73-64) and lost to Ferris State (89-81).
Volcy averaged 25.0 points, 12.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 3.0 blocks and 1.5 steals over the two-game span. He recorded 16 points, 12 rebounds and five assists in the win over LSSU. He came back with a 34-point, 12-rebound, six-block, five-assist and three-steal performance against FSU.
Volcy currently leads the league in rebounds (9.6 per game) and is second in scoring (22.0 per game).
