Ricky Volcy Named GLIAC North Division Player of the Week

BAY CITY, Mich. – For the third time this season Ricky Volcy was named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) North Division Player of the Week.
Volcy, a senior forward from Montreal, Quebec, led the Wildcats to a pair of GLIAC road wins last week over South Division foes Hillsdale and Wayne State. The 6-8 Volcy recorded his 10th double-double of the season with a 17-point, 10-rebound effort in the 65-57 win at Hillsdale on Thursday.
He tallied his seventh 30-plus point game of the season in a 75-55 win at Wayne State on Saturday when he poured in 33 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and five steals.
Volcy leads the GLIAC in blocked shots (2.26 bpg) and ranks second in scoring (22.5 ppg).
