Ricky Volcy Named GLIAC North Division Player of the Week

BAY CITY, Mich. – For the second time this season Ricky Volcy was named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) North Division Player of the Week. He was awarded the honor for his play last week against UW-Stout and Ashland.
To start the week Volcy tallied 33 points, 16 rebounds and three assists in a 95-71 win over the Blue Devils. He followed that game with a 26-point, 14-rebound, four-assist performance in an 82-80 win over the Eagles.
Volcy averaged 29.5 points, 15 rebounds, 3.5 assists and two blocks per game last week. He currently ranks second in the GLIAC in both scoring (23.3 ppg) and rebounding (11.0 rpg).
