UPSDA - UP200: The UPSDA puts on the UP200 Sled Dog Race, a 220 mile race, as well as Midnight Run, a 90 mile race. They need 600+ volunteers for inside and outside work, including road crossing duties, retail, vet check, dog handling, checkpoint workers, set-up, take-down, and crowd control. Check out the website at UP200.org for more information.  This is a great way to increase community involvement. Marquette County Humane Society: Volunteers are always welcome to help with dog walking, cat socialization, and morning clean-up. Hours for volunteers are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. If you are interested in working with these animals, please call the center at 906.475.6661.
