Michigan Mathematics and Science Centers Network
The Seaborg Center is a member of the Michigan Mathematics and Science Centers Network providing leadership, curriculum support, professional development and student services to educators in local school districts. The center also serves as a resource clearinghouse for educational materials and information, and works to foster community involvement in the areas of mathematics and science. The Mathematics and Science Centers Network supports the delivery of high quality mathematics and science education for the students of Michigan.
The Seaborg Center works with Marquette-Alger RESA to provide high-quality professional development for mathematics and science. For example, teachers from every district attend jointly sponsored Mathematics and Science Learning teams to exchange information and share activities.
The NASA Educator Resource Center (ERC) helps preservice and inservice teachers to learn about and use NASA's educational resources. Educators have opportunities to preview, copy, and receive many types of NASA instructional products. These materials cover the areas of aeronautics, earth and space science, mathematics, geography, and technology.
