Seaborg Mathematics and Science Center

The Glenn T. Seaborg Center is dedicated to enriching the knowledge and understanding of science and mathematics in the general public, particularly students and educators from preschool through college, in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.

The Seaborg Center is one of 16 regional centers in the Michigan Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics Network. These centers provide leadership,curriculum support, and professional development and student services to educators in their local school districts.


Professional Development

The center also provides professional development for K-12 educators in Marquette and Alger counties, in addition to serving as a regional hub for many Upper Peninsula professional development activities.

The Seaborg Center hosts many student-focused program during the year such as the U.P. Science Olympiad Regional Tournament, summer fall and winter college for kids, a yearly environmental science camp and more.  <a href="/seaborg/student-programs">More Information</a>All donations to the Seaborg Center are used to support <a href= "http://www.nmu.edu/seaborg/node/23">student programs</a>, such as the U.P.
