How to Request a Transcript

SAVE LOTS OF TIME!!    - Order Transcripts Online

Ordering Online

NMU has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse to provide transcript ordering via the Web.You can order transcripts online anytime using a major credit card. One of the great advantages of the online service is that you will receive e-mail notifications on the status of the request. If you are computer challenged, you may opt to use the mail-in service. Forms can be printed from the link on the left. But this old-style process will take quite a bit longer. So, why not give the online service a try?

Note: Rush/One-Day-Service Transcript requests received after 11 a.m. EST, will not go out in the mail until the next business day. See Fees and Processing Time link on the left for more information. If you have a financial hold with NMU, your transcripts cannot be released. Transcripts cannot be requested by e-mail, and they cannot be sent electronically at this time. NMU is closed on Friday's until late August.

Read the directions!! Answers to all your questions are provide here [or on the left links]. NMU will not be held responsible for problems resulting from incorrect submissions.

Attention May Graduates

Degree postings do not happen automatically. They are hand-processed. Check "HOLD FOR DEGREE POSTING" on the form so that graduation date will appear on your transcript.

Students Transferring

If you pre-enrolled for Fall at NMU, those courses will appear on your transcript. You will then be required by your new school to provide another transcript once the courses are dropped.

Current Students

To order an official transcript(s), log into my.nmu. Click on the Student Services tab, then the “enrollment verification” link. Once you are at the National Student Clearinghouse web site, select the “transcript ordering/tracking” link.

Former Students

Log into the Clearinghouse secure site. The National Student Clearinghouse site will walk you through placing your order, including delivery options and fees. You can order as many transcripts as you like in a single session. Each address must be submitted as a seperate request. Order status and updates will be emailed to you. You can also track your order online.

Ordering Transcripts by Mail

Print a transcript request form and mail to the Registrar's Office. If you include pre-addressed mailing labels, your transcript request will be processed much quicker.

First class postage is included in the transcript fee. A check or money order made out to NMU must be included with all requests received by mail.
