Parking at NMU

Row of cars The NMU Parking Bureau is responsible for overseeing the vehicle registration program and dealing with parking issues as they arise.

The Parking Bureau, a unit of NMU Public Safety and Police Services, is located in the Services Building on Sugarloaf Avenue (see campus map).  It is open during the university’s regular business hours, which during the academic year are 8 a.m.- 4 p.m. (EST). Some of the most frequent questions the Parking Bureau receives each year:

Can freshmen bring cars?

Is there a fee to park on campus if I’m a student (a freshman), a faculty member, a staff member?

Are there designated lots for parking?

Do visitors have to register their cars when on campus for more than a few hours?

Is there storage somewhere on campus for my bike during the winter?
