To eliminate or reduce the chances of becoming a victim of theft, remember to always lock your bike when you leave it unattended. Register your bike at Public Safety; we are open 24/7/365. This service is free and only takes a couple minutes.
It is important to keep your room, bike and vehicle locked and secure all property at all times to reduce the chance of becoming the victim of a crime. Also do not leave property unattended in classrooms, at the library and at other campus locations.
It is important that you keep a record of your property, make, model, serial numbers, color, value, etc. You can also mark your property with an engraver with your driver’s license number and state abbreviation. Most criminals will not take property that is clearly marked and can be identified as stolen because it is easier to get caught, harder to fence or sell. This is your best chance of having your property returned if it is found or recovered from a theft.
