Update on budget Issues

Michigan's Legislative Leaders

Many of you have asked for addresses of legislators and they are listed below. Please ask them to help solve the problem without NMU or other U.P. organizations paying a higher price. My phrase, "do no harm and let's solve the problem in a fair way" may help you here. In addition, I have prepared a list of talking points that can be used to express the need to find a solution to Michigan's budget problems.

Your voice is important and it is heard. Please do not use NMU stationery or an NMU E-mail address to send this message.

As soon as we know the membership of the Conference Committee, my office will post those names and addresses. This is the critical group that will fashion a compromise between the house and senate versions of the budget. It is their work that goes to the Governor.
