The certificate is a one-year program with eight credit hours in the fall and eight credit hours in the winter. Students are not required to take more than one course at a time if they do not wish to complete the program as quickly. Courses are taught in a hybrid format--a combination of online courses and meetings on campus or via videoconference at remote locations on five Saturday's each semester. All credits will transfer into NMU's Master of Public Administration degree for students who desire to continue their education.
