Connie Goudreau is graduating summa cum laude with a major in political science and a minor in Native American studies. In addition to working on campus for The North Wind student newspaper and Upward Bound tutoring, she is scholarship and diversity chair for her sorority, Phi Sigma Sigma, and is a graduate of the Superior Edge Program. Next year, she plans to attend Michigan State University College of Law and hopes to pursue a career in tribal law.
Lindsey Butorac graduated with a degree in accounting/computer information systems in 2006 and with a master of public administration degree in 2010. Lindsey started her accounting career as a tax accountant for a regional CPA firm in Green Bay where she earned her CPA designation. She joined the NMU staff in 2007 as an accountant in the Controller’s Office and was recently promoted in June 2010 to manager-HRIS and payroll in Human Resources. Outside of the office, Lindsey serves as a mentor for the Student Leader Fellowship Program, advises NMU’s chapter of Business Professionals of America, and volunteers with Girl Scouts in the Ishpeming/Negaunee area.
