MARQUETTE – The United States Olympic Education Center’s Greco-Roman wrestling team competed at the 12th annual Dave Schultz Memorial International Feb. 3-6 in Colorado Springs, Colo. USOEC athletes dueled against athletes from 22 countries.

Head Greco-Roman wrestling coach Dennis Hall was pleased with the team’s performance. “They wrestled hard and did very well as a group”, said Hall. “They should have won more matches, but now we know what to work on. We wrestled some of the best competition in the world, but we are moving in the right direction. The guys really want to put in the effort and push themselves in order to prepare for nationals in April.”
NMU senior Mary Kelly (Mahomet, Ill.) represented the women’s freestyle wrestling team and placed fifth in the 48 kg weight class.
