Refund Policy

If you pay your orientation fee(s) and then decide to withdraw from or delay attendance at NMU, notify the Admissions Office immediately. If you do so by the appropriate deadline, we will send you any refund for which you are eligible. See information below.

Student Program Fee ($75)

If we are notified by the appropriate deadline above, you will receive a partial refund of $35 of the student program fee.

Parent/Guest Program Fee ($25)

The parent/guest program fee is non-refundable.

Orientation Accommodations Fee

The accommodations fee, which includes housing and meals during orientation, is 100 percent refundable.

Online Orientation ($75)

If you are participating in the Online Orientation and have withdrawn from NMU before the Orientation Registration Hold has been lifted you are eligible for a refund.  If you have completed the sessions and your Orientation Registration Hold has been lifted you are ineligible for a refund.

 

Requesting a Refund

All requests for refunds must be in writing. You may request a refund by e-mailing orient@nmu.edu or by mailing your request to New Student Orientation Program, Northern Michigan University, 1401 Presque Isle Avenue, Marquette, MI, 49855.
