About Us

The New Student Orientation Program provides comprehensive programs and services that facilitate the transition of new students to Northern Michigan University prior to the start of classes. The program emphasizes integrating new students into the academic and co-curricular life of the institution, connecting students with the campus community, improving the enrollment and retention rate of new students, assisting parents of new students in their understanding of the university’s environment and services, and enhancing student and parent awareness of university expectations of our students and our faculty and staff.
