Informal Gathering

Vango’s Pizza & Cocktail Lounge (927 North Third Street)
8 p.m.

Kick the party off early with old friends at Vango’s Pizza and Cocktail Lounge. Reminisce over a steaming plate of their infamous waffle fries and enjoy the musical talents of Marquette’s own Jim & Ray. Come one, come all – the event is casual, so stop by anytime around 8 p.m.

Free to attend.

Friday, June 28

	Tee Times NMU Golf Course 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Fore! The NMU Golf Course is holding a variety of tee times for reunion attendees. Grab your clubs and hit the green by calling (906) 227-1333. Rate information can be found at www.nmu.edu/golfcourse. Blocks will be held until Friday, June 21 (mention “NMU Center for Student Enrichment Reunion”).
	Sugarloaf Hike Meet at Sugarloaf Mountain Parking Lot (Co. Rd. 550/Big Bay Road) 11 a.m. Take in majestic Lake Superior, Hogsback Mountain and the picturesque surroundings atop Sugarloaf Mountain. Offering Easy, Medium and Difficult trails, the hike will depart the parking lot at 11 a.m. Don’t forget to pack hiking or tennis shoes! Free to attend.
	Campus Tour Tour departs from the University Center Atrium 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Want to get the inside scoop on what’s happening at Northern? Take a campus tour to see what has changed and what’s just as you remember it. Wear comfortable shoes – it’s a walking tour. Free to attend.
	Beach Activities McCarty’s Cove, Lakeshore Avenue 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Enjoy some fun in the sun! Test the waters, lounge in the sand or indulge in a game of beach volleyball or Frisbee while taking in the soothing sounds of Lake Superior at McCarty’s Cove. An NMU hotspot, the beach detour will be sure to bring back memories of those infamous Marquette summers. Free to attend.
	Reception/Celebration Great Lakes Rooms, University Center 6 p.m. The big event! Celebrate the friendships formed and the memories made, while chatting up old friends and perusing office memorabilia. A program and slideshow will highlight the office through the years, as well as some of our fondest (and funniest) stories. Appetizers will be served. Cash bar. $10 per person. Must register in advance.

Saturday, June 29

	Rummaging with Rachel Meet at Babycakes Muffin Co. (223 West Washington Street) 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m Shop ‘til you drop with Rachel Harris, the ultimate rummager, as she takes you through the behind-the-scenes routes of Marquette’s yard sale scene. The party starts bright and early, departing from Babycakes Muffin Co. Free to attend.

	Afternoon to Explore Marquette 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Remember that one place you just loved to spend time att? Take the afternoon to share those experiences with your family and friends, or revisit them with the old. Explore the charming downtown district with its treasure trove of unique clothing and gift shops, boutiques, galleries, museums and restaurants, or take a turn in the woods to track down your favorite waterfall.
	Picnic & CSE Retreat Rematches Mattson Lower Harbor Park 6 p.m. Wrap up the weekend while relaxing and visiting over a traditional picnic-style meal in beautiful Lower Harbor. Surrounded by grassy fields, playgrounds and, of course, Lake Superior, the opportunities for fun are endless. Following dinner, fire up the competitive spirit of the football, volleyball, kickball and Ultimate Frisbee games of staff retreats past with informal CSE Retreat Rematch games. Again, don’t forget your tennis shoes and comfortable clothes if you plan to play. $5 per person. Must register in advance.
	Night on the Town *Following the Picnic* With Lower Harbor just a quick stroll away from downtown, visit your old (and new) favorite haunts with old (and new) friends following the picnic. No formal plans will be made.
