Student Organization: EEGS Garden Club

Description The EEGS (Earth, Environmental & Geographical Sciences) Garden Club's purpose is to educate ourselves and members of the community of the plants native to the U.P. (including produce), and the tools and care instructions needed to produce and cultivate them while using sustainable permaculture practices to receive a bountiful harvest. Through volunteering our time, tools and manual labor we will give those unable to garden themselves because of lack of resources, time, space or physical strength the opportunity to have access to gardens. This will contribute to the overall health and wellness of ourselves and our community, as well as inspire education and creativity in ourselves and fellow students. Membership is open to all students willing to help and actively participate. For more information, email hpoisson@nmu.edu
