The members of NMU student organizations sponsor almost 300 campus-wide programs and events every year in addition to the hundreds of group activities. These same students volunteer thousands of hours of service annually to local communities. In the process, the student organizations that register at Northern Michigan University every year provide thousands of students with fun, friendships, memories, and educational experiences that cannot be found in the classroom.
Efforts put forth by student organizations are recognized annually at the Leadership Recognition Banquet.

Student Organization: Health Promotion Society
|Description||Are you in a major that focuses on health promotion, or are you simply a person who is interested in promoting health? Do you hold even the slightest interest in any area of health and wellness? The Health Promotion Society wants you to become involved! HPS is a group of individuals who value health and wellness as a very important part of life and especially an important part of the college experience. We are bringing this group to life so that health majors and anyone who has any interest in any health related aspect can come together to put their interests, minds, and skill sets together to make this a great organization. This group is very open-ended and we want to gear it towards our members bringing ideas forward for volunteer projects, community outreaching, networking, socializing, and fun activities. HPS in the past has been involved in the Wildcat Wellness Health Fair and Make a Difference Day among other things. For more information, email firstname.lastname@example.org|
