Rooted has been created in an attempt to bring together, educate, and improve the African-American student experience while forming a tradition and brotherhood that lasts beyond one's college years. The need to maintain the strength and connection of the black men exists but we also hope to ensure the propsective and future black students have a meaningful voice on NMU's campus as well. While geared towards African-American males, males from every ethnic background are encouraged to join. Our goal is to provide an outlet for our members to promote brotherhood and professionalism.
