Student Organization: Club Baseball

Description	The Club Baseball Team at NMU formed to create a competitive level of play for those students interested in playing baseball competitively at the next level. Our objective is to establish and maintain a high level of competition on the field while pursuing excellence in the classroom. Our secondary objective is to establish a foundation for the University to build on if and when it desires to form a school-sponsored club baseball team. The concept of club baseball is a collegiate club baseball program allowing students the opportunity to continue playing competitive college baseball after high school. The captains of the NMU 'Cats Baseball Team have worked hard to be able to put their team into the NCBA (National Club Baseball Association) league, as we would eventually be able to compete for a Club Baseball National Championship. We were accepted and signed on for the 2012-2013 season in NCBA Division 2, District V - East (feel free to check out their website as well). We are definitely up for this year's challenge and hoping to give people the opportunity to continue playing the game that they love after high school, while positively representing their university.
