The purpose of the Tolerant Freethinking Atheists is to bring about a society in which the ideals of scientific rationality, secularism, and humanism flourish. Whereas many other organizations already exist to spread these values to off-campus populations, the Tolerant Freethinking Atheists focuses on fostering these values among college students. The Tolerant Freethinking Atheists specifically seeks to organize, unite, educate and serve students and student communities that promote the ideals of scientific rationality, secularism, and humanism. Membership is open to NMU students who agree with the purpose of the Tolerant Freethinking Atheists. |
