The NMU Dance Team is made up of dedicated and talented young women who represent the University in a positive and spirited manner. Members on our team have a diverse background, including classical ballet, hip-hop dance, cheerleading squads, gymnastics, kick lines and elite pompon programs. This diversity makes our team remarkable because we draw on one another’s strengths to succeed. As a team, we have the opportunity to perform at many home varsity football, soccer, volleyball, and basketball games, and at various University and community functions. The team also has the opportunity to compete at regional competitions. Through performances, appearances, and volunteer activities, the Northern Michigan University Dance Team serves as NMU ambassadors.
