||Do you want to run, jump, or throw weights at a competitive level? Have you ever participated in track & field before and still want to compete? Do you prefer cross country running and group running. Well then, NMU Track & Field Club is the sport for you! NMU Track & Field Club is sports organizations open to male and female student athletes who are continuing their track or XC career, training for a specific sporting event, or enjoy partaking in physical fitness workouts. We are a team dedicated to high level fitness, comradery, and competitiveness. Our practices consist of specific high intensity workouts designed for each individual event. Each member will achieve their peak physical condition through comprehensive training and exercise curriculums before the season starts. Each practice is held at the Superior Dome and Physical Education Instruction Facility (PEIF). Practices are scheduled weekly based on members' schedules and availability. A recreational PEIF pass is highly recommended and required for competitions. Our team travels to Minnesota, Wisconsin, and lower Michigan to participate in track meets against D1, D2, and D3 collegiate schools. As members of the Track & Field Club, we will participate in various volunteering and fundraising opportunities both university recognized and community sponsored.
