The Zeta Upsilon chapter of Alpha Gamma Delta was chartered at NMU in 1989. We are an international women's fraternity with chapters all over the U.S. and Canada. Our philanthropy is the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation, which raises money for diabetes research. Our chapter holds various philanthropy events in which we raise money for the foundation. Over the 2006-2007 school year we raised over $2000 and became a Jewel Chapter with our International Headquarters. We participate actively in community service projects such as Relay for Life, Make a Difference Day and Spring Into Service. We also participate in Homecoming, WinterFest and Greek Week. We host our formal, Red Rose, every fall in addition to the mixers we have with the other Greek organizations. The sisters of Alpha Gamma Delta strive for academic excellence and work together to achieve this. We have a strong bond of sisterhood which will last a lifetime. We have many sisterhood events throughout the year that all our members love to go to. In Fall 2009 Alpha Gamma Delta celebrated its 20th anniversary on NMU’s campus.
