||Each year NMU hosts a Relay for Life event in March. Relay for Life is the American Cancer Society's signature event that is put on by colleges and communities throughout the nation. The main goals of Relay for Life are to raise funds for the fight against cancer and promote awareness for cancer. NMU's Relay is one of the few collegiate relays that are 24-hours long. Our event features ceremonies to honor Survivors, Caregivers, and those that are no longer with us because of cancer. There is plenty of entertainment for the 24-hour long event, including basketball and dodgeball tournaments, food, music, and much more. The NMU Relay for Life committee is always looking for survivors, caregivers, volunteers, and participants to take part in our event.
