Description	Relevant is an outreach to the campus of Northern Michigan University to show that Christianity is a lifestyle relevant to today's world. We are affiliated with and supported by Good News Assembly of God Church, located in Ishpeming. Our membership is not limited to just the students of this church, but is open to all NMU students. Opportunities at Relevant include weekly Bible study and discussion, monthly social activities, community service projects, fundraisers, retreats and conferences. Our major feature is the service trips to areas outside of the Upper Peninsula, taken during NMU's school breaks and open to both members and non-members of Relevant. We are not a church, but encourage regular attendance at a local church of your choosing. All of our events and activities are open to all NMU students regardless of race, personal beliefs, color, gender or marital status (spouses and children are welcomed). If you're seeking a fun, family-type atmosphere, where acceptance and love are given freely, along with some occasional mom and dad advice, then Relevant is the organization for you.
