The members of NMU student organizations sponsor almost 300 campus-wide programs and events every year in addition to the hundreds of group activities. These same students volunteer thousands of hours of service annually to local communities. In the process, the student organizations that register at Northern Michigan University every year provide thousands of students with fun, friendships, memories, and educational experiences that cannot be found in the classroom.
Efforts put forth by student organizations are recognized annually at the Leadership Recognition Banquet.

Student Organization: Women's Club Hockey
|Description||The Women's Club Hockey is a team for students that love the sport of hockey. Our team consists of players that have played competitive hockey and wish to continue their career. NMU Women's Hockey is a part of the ACHA (American Collegiate Hockey Association) and the CCWHA (Central Collegiate Women's Hockey Association). We practice on the ice 2-3 times a week and off the ice twice a week. We play games on the weekends against schools like Michigan State University, Notre Dame, Aquinas College, Davenport University, Rainy River CC, and LSSU, among others. Club dues are about $1,300 and cover the cost of hotels, ice bills, and transportation. Tryouts will be held in early September. For more information, contact Kelsey Weyland at email@example.com or by phone at 248-877-4039.|
