Current Organizations

Students for Sustainable LivingThe members of NMU student organizations sponsor almost 300 campus-wide programs and events every year in addition to the hundreds of group activities. These same students volunteer thousands of hours of service annually to local communities. In the process, the student organizations that register at Northern Michigan University every year provide thousands of students with fun, friendships, memories, and educational experiences that cannot be found in the classroom.

Efforts put forth by student organizations are recognized annually at the Leadership Recognition Banquet.

Student Organization: Beta Alpha Psi

Description Beta Alpha Psi (Accounting and Finance Club) is a professional organization that actively engages in the professional development of students in the Accounting, Finance, and Computer Information Systems programs at NMU. Some of our professional activities include taking an annual trip to a large metropolitan area to meet with accounting/finance firms, having professional speakers from the industry, and being involved in the local professional atmosphere. In addition, opportunities to serve the community and fundraise exist within the organization. These activities can help increase your social network, which can prove invaluable throughout your education and career. By creating these networks and providing these opportunities to further your professional development, Beta Alpha Psi is the first step to enhancing your educational experience.
