Student Organization: Phi Sigma Sigma

Description PHI SIGMA SIGMA was founded by a group of ten women in 1913 from Hunter College in New York City; today, the sorority has chapters all over the U.S. and Canada. Phi Sigma Sigma is very active in community service, participating in Big Brothers Big Sisters, U.P. 200 Dog Sled Race, Dialysis Bags, Make a Difference Day, and other local philanthropies. Every year we hold a Rock-a-Thon at the TV-6 Marquette Craft Show in the Superior Dome and donate the money raised to the National Kidney Foundation. Phi Sigma Sigma is involved in many campus activities, too, including Homecoming and Greek Week. The sisters of Phi Sigma Sigma were awarded Project of the Year for 2005-2006. This outstanding accomplishment shows that the women of our sorority work very hard. Phi Sigma Sigma strives for excellence in scholarship and has an excellent program designed to help sisters with their studies. There is a minimum GPA requirement of 2.25 for membership.
