||The Student Nurses Association (SNA) is an organization for any NMU Pre-Nursing or Nursing student interested in pursuing nursing. We meet every other Monday throughout the semester. As a member you are to attend a minimum of three meetings, participate in four hours of community service, and pay $5 in dues. The SNA aims to provide support and encouragement to students, while promoting professional and social unity among nursing students to facilitate a positive contribution to the field of nursing. Involvement in SNA exposes students to information about potential nursing opportunities and national organizations, information that they may not otherwise receive in clinic or the classroom. One way this is done is through information sessions hosted by speakers with experiences in a variety of nursing fields and positions. Activities include community service, fundraisers, local blood drives, and the annual SNA Charity Ball held in the winter semester.
