Tests for Online Students

Most Northern Michigan University online and distance education courses have online quizzes and exams. However, some subjects simply do not lend themselves to online exams or, if they are tied to certification or licensing factors, may not have online options. In these cases, you may be required to secure a proctor to issue an on-site exam to you in your area.

Students should contact their academic department to schedule their exams and to arrange payment for their exam proctor fee. Proctor fees vary by department. Students are required to provide photo identification (e.g. driver’s license, student ID card, passport) to the proctor before the exam will be issued.
